Endings - take away the emotion surrounding them and woven within anything, and everything to do with living and life, and what you should have left is the crystal-clear clarity and understanding that pure hard logic can bring. That being the case, then and only then can you fully appreciate that you along with everyone else and the space and time within which your every action and its resounding reaction has taken, the event experienced, every word and deed that arises from your thoughts, and emotion felt has a purpose that is far greater than that you or anyone else can possibly know. However, we are all unique, and therefore the logic revealed is a perverse one because of your ability to look at life from different levels of perception, each one of which changes your reality. From the spiritual perspective, reality is a subjective truth based upon what appears to be, isn’t, and what is, is hidden. Furthermore, what is hidden isn’t revealed until an individual learns to develop the self-awareness to see what appears not to be there but is.
Therefore, all you can do in this purposeful chaos is the best that you can by remembering that all life forms within the cosmos, including you, has a purpose that goes beyond yourself. The definition of purpose is it is the starting and the working through of something to its completion. This can only take place when all the parts, elements, or circumstances needed are in place to make a whole. Some of the elements involved you know, of others you don’t but metaphysical synchronicity is on your side and will step when needed. If you have the patience, resilience, endurance, courage, and strength to see a process through, it means you have met your goal, overcome your challenge, and your objective has been achieved. However, fulfilling your purpose can also involve you proving to yourself you can do no more, that it is time to step aside and allow the cards to fall where they may and even though you may feel emotionally battered and bruised in the process, you can still gain closure.
However, if you look deeper and reflect on the whole of any purpose, you will find that irrespective of its perverseness, it is a never-ending, multi-purposed, and self-modifying force made up of a continuous chain made up of multiple events all of which vary depending upon the perception used and the level of wisdom attained by the involved parties, but all the events are connected because everyone and thing are connected. Therefore, within the whole lies a continuance, a child of change, who is unwittingly conceived during the process itself and it is named “A Fresh Start”. Therefore, contrary to what it appears to be or feels like at the time, if an ending isn’t finite, it is infinite and, if it’s infinite, endings don’t exist even though you may feel that they do.
What you perceive to be an ending is the complex, multi-dimensional matrix of cause and effect in action, which drives infinite change and enables all known life forms to exist, thrive, and evolve. This process is known as the cycle or circle of life that is dependent upon the destruction of what is to ensure its reconstruction and therefore the continuance of it in one form or another, a paradox that governs every aspect of your life. Change is a process that is usually accompanied by feelings of loss, which itself is accompanied by the grieving process, born from the fact that the love or passion for someone or something is no longer has nowhere to go, or something or someone you have become accustomed to goes and although it is often a crippling process to endure, you can and will learn to adapt by focusing on what is and not what was.
An excellent visual example of questioning whether endings exist can be found in the Tarot deck. The 21st and last major arcana card The World, represents Gaia, the earth goddess. At each corner of the card, there is one of the four fixed signs of the zodiac which symbolizes the four elements, compass points, seasons, and the four corners of the Universe. Yet the earth goddess is usually depicted as being surrounded by a wreath which symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life. With arms outstretched, embracing the future, she steps through the wreath signifying she is moving forward. Gaia holds a wand of the Magician in each hand signifying her movement is manifesting the need for change, she has served her purpose and is ready to enter the next phase of her life. The earth goddess has her head turned to look back at the past as she goes, with a smile of gratitude, and appreciation as though she is thanking the past for all it has taught her. Simultaneously, there is also a look of regret, sadness, and even apprehension on her face, but Gaia gains strength and courage gathered from her past experiences to go forth into the unknown in the state of continuance to discover with wonderment, the emotional wealth found in the heartache and the contented delights that lie ahead waiting for her to endlessly embrace.
If you can accept and embrace the infinite whole, what appears to be the ending of something at the time, no matter how heart-wrenching or joyous, major, or minor it is, you transform the experience from one of loss to one of gain. By doing so you place yourself in the eternal now, where you are empowered by the understanding of what appears to be, isn’t, and what you can’t see, is, and by doing so become the better than you, view what is to come with anticipation, and with the hope of better things to come, no matter how challenging the situation you have come from or those you still have to face because you have connected to a higher power, something that is far beyond yourself.
