Ive seen and spoken to many people who have derived much comfort and heavenly happiness from a belief in an afterlife, a spirit world, they are still able to communicate with a loved one who has died, or passed to spirit.
We understand that the physical body is really just the overcoat we wear during our earthly life, and believe that we discard it when physical death occurs, which will happen to us all at some stage, I believe with a spiritual awareness that transition will be made easier, and it will not be a shock when we enter spirit.
But, there are people who completely refute this personal belief, and insist we are being misled by unscrupulous people, who are out to make money and exploit the grieving person. Richard Wiseman ( parapsychologist ) Ive often seen him on television recreating fake seances, his message is quite simple, there is no spirit world, yes he can recreate a fake seance, but he could never create a real seance, why? because no genuine medium is present, I have seen and heard first hand real, genuine seance work, and I know without any shadow of doubt, under the right conditions, and with the right sitters real spirit communication can be achieved.
James Randi ( Stage Magician ) I remember now years ago reading an article in the psychic news where Mr Randi was offering a million dollars to anyone who could prove spirit communication to him, of course no one would ever see the cash because despite any spiritual message Mr Randi insisted the reader or medium was a fake. Mr Randi has had television shows, where he sets out to reproduce fraudulent practices, all very convincing except there was never any gifted people present to demonstrate the genuine gifts, so, there was Mr Randi with mass coverage on a television network trying to debunk any genuine demonstrable gifts.
Derren Brown ( Stage Illusionist ) Mr Brown makes his money from illusions, making people believe when something isnt real. his made a big effort on television and stage to give spiritualism and spirit mediums a bad name, showing the public how fake and trickery is produced, there can be no doubt fake mediums and psychics do exist, but once again ask Mr Brown to produce real phenomena and he couldn't do it because no genuine gifted person is present. In conclusion.
These three people have an unfair advantage, mainly television and the media, on a world stage, in front of millions of people they are allowed to rubbish peoples personal beliefs and practices. I would say to Mr Wiseman, Randi and Brown, let people make their own mind up.This psychic paranoia has to stop. I would advise anyone seeking genuine spirit mediums to visit their local Spiritualist church or centre where reputable gifted genuine communicators can be found.
